“So, go ahead and drive me insane,” they continue. “And there’s nothin’ I, nothin’ I, I can do / I’m stuck with you, stuck with you, stuck with you.” And even they know that relationships aren’t perfect and that an extreme amount of time together could lead to silly fights and petty arguments. “So, lock the door and throw out the key / Can’t fight this no more, It’s just you and me,” the pop stars sing passionately to each other. “I’ma get to know you better / Kinda hope we’re here forever.” And after crooning about how they’d want to be stuck together if the world were ending, Grande and Bieber joined forces for a powerful and evocative chorus. “There’s nowhere we need to be,” they sing together, their voices melting together seamlessly. And the song is taken up several notches when Bieber blends his voice with Grande’s on the second verse and proves that he’s very much on the same page. The biggest difference between Bieber and Grande’s quarantine and yours? While you might be getting sick and tired of being at home with whoever you’re with, the pop stars simply can’t relate. “Might as well cancel our plans, yeah / I could stay here for a lifetime.” “Got all this time on my hands,” Grande sings on the pre-chorus. While the song doesn’t directly address the simple fact that most of us are quarantining at home amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, its lyrics really lend themselves to the unique situation at hand. “That’s why when the sun’s up, I’m staying.” Almost immediately, the “Thank U, Next” songstress paints the picture of a couple who are much more than a one night stand. “You never let me down,” Grande sings on the first verse. And although Bieber and Grande aren’t together romantically in real life, their vocal chemistry and the song’s beautiful lyrics could’ve easily convinced us otherwise. Fortunately, that’s not the case on Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande‘s new song “Stuck With U,” which officially dropped today, May 8.įor those who haven’t heard it yet, the romantic track is a duet between two lovers. And staying at home is even more of a snooze-fest when you’re not with the person you love most.
